Sarah is a self-taught Photographic Artist coming from a background of working in TV for 20yrs.

Sarah has worked in darkrooms in Greenwich, New Cross and Woolwich, and trained under Master Printer Tim Rudman in the specialist technique of Lith Printing. She continues to experiment with materials, using mixed-media (collage, paint, sound), cyanotype (sun-printing), and liquid emulsion (photos on 3D surfaces) . Her Fine Art photography is exhibited and sold in various galleries from Whitechapel to Spain.
In recent years she has pushed the boundaries of photography with 3D works, plant alchemy and light sculptures, and even using mosaic tiles as if they were pixels. She is an expert in sustainable photography techniques, using less toxic processes and non-animal emulsions. She also uses recycled materials and natural materials (plants , wood, stone, cotton) in her large artworks.
Sarah harnesses the power of natural light on location, and also with her cyanotype sun-printing. Sometimes she abandons the camera altogether and makes cameraless images (photograms) by painting with light. She experiments with plant alchemy, alongside the raw elements of water and light to investigate the building blocks of life. Exploring all realms of reality: quantum physics, myth, fake news, dreams, history, futurism, folklore, existentialism.
Sarah’s work is also concerned with Loss. The loss of green spaces in london, the loss of species and the loss of past traditions. She researches science and history, and speculates on a future where nature competes with AI.

During 4yrs at Riverside House, Sarah was enabled to make large installations including light sculptures, large collages, and mosaics. In 2026 the studios were closed to become flats, Sarah continues her outdoor work including branching out from a new outpost in her hometown in Suffolk for further nature-immersed work.
