In-Person Cyanotype Workshop

Welcome back! Friday 23 July 12-1pm

I am offering this Cyanotype taster session at the location of my new studio: Riverside House, Beresford Street, Woolwich Arsenal, SE18 6BU.

There will be a maximum of 5 participants plus myself. I’ll have pre-coated some watercolour paper for us to use. We will arrange plants on top and then expose our paper to the sunshine outdoors. The next stage is to develop the prints in water and watch them turn blue! Even if its cloudy we will get some results. You will get to take your prints home with you. Each participant will have their own tray, printing frame and gloves, the process is very safe. This workshop is for adults 18+. The workshop space is not accessible for wheelchairs.

Cyanotype is an early photographic process that dates back to the 1800s. It was pioneered by Anna Atkins who used it to document seaweed around Britain.

Please wear a mask when we are indoors. If you are exempt, please send me notification in advance. If you have Covid symptoms and need to cancel I will give you a full refund.
