Eco Photography workshop in Woolwich
Fri 18 Aug , 23
2-4pm

During this workshop, you will make cyanotype prints to take home. The cyanotype process is an early photographic technique that dates back to the 1800s. You will use sunlight, water and plants on light-sensitive paper to make stunning blueprints to take home.
After the break, you will learn about Anthotypes. We will prepare plant emulsions from scratch using non-toxic plant ingredients. You will be able to coat paper and take it home to continue your own anthotype experiments. All this coincides with #WorldAnthotypeDay, a global celebration which this year falls on saturday 19th Aug .
Whether you’re a photography enthusiast or a beginner , or simply curious about eco processes, this workshop is for you. No prior experience is required, and all necessary materials will be provided. Just bring your creativity and a desire to learn something new. Advanced users will be able to ask questions about use of negatives and toners.
The workshop runs alongside Sarah’s exhibition “Deep Trouble” exhibition in the builidng. There will be a tea break and there is a cafe counter in the building.
