Carve & Eat a pumpkin at this no-waste workshop 2-3pm 18+
At this workshop artist Sarah Garrod will guide you to creatively carve your own pumpkin lantern to take home. Sarah has selected British-grown pumpkins and will be discussing ways to lessen the environmental impact.
Alongside this, the garden volunteers are running a pumpkin-cooking activity , to make use of the pumpkin flesh that you remove during carving. You can taste some of the cooked pumpkin and you will be given recipes to take home.
Please bring:
- a box or bag to take your pumpkin home in
- Your own gardening gloves if you wish (we have some gloves)
- Wear old clothes or bring an apron if you wish, it can get messy !
- Pumpkin cutters are provided , please do not bring sharp instruments.
Come in the blue gate on Blackwall Lane (not Commerell St) . This workshop will take place outdoors at the Christchurch School Community Garden, in the event of extremely bad weather we may have to postpone.
Please note , on 31st Oct we will be running a Spooky Crafternoon for all ages! Keep an eye here and on my insta and Facebook for free places.
