Silver-gelatin photo, hand-painted emulsion in the darkroom onto watercolour paper. With acrylic paint.
This unique artwork is an unusual Black &White take on a Blackheath sunset. It represents the macabre feeling I get when I walk over the heath (its an urban myth that victims of the Black Death were buried there). The dark is counteracted by the bright pink streak of sky. How uplifting Nature is in these dark times. How lucky we are to have these open expanses.
